Shadow Priests in General as of 3.2.2

My solution? Start playing the mage, the DK and level the hunter more.

Looks like Affliction locks (which from what I understand not many high end raiders are playing) and Holy Priests will get this buff too.

Hooray, I was getting ready to sit Critdicket on the bench for a long time lol.

Poor Ghostcrawler took so much shit about this topic that he said a week or so ago he wouldn't be posting for a while. He had made some really dumbass statements in the forums about how Shadow priests were OK and that we have an awesome AoE called Searing Pain etc. and people were really starting to publicly question if there was anyone on the development team who knew anything at all about Shadow Priests. Because what we had been reading for several weeks pretty much proved that there wasn't.

I think the last straw was the priest from the #1 guild in the world calling him out and basically telling him that they were full of shit (in a nice way so he wouldn't get banned) since his guild was no longer going to be taking shadow priests to raids since our dps had dropped to the bottom of the list....just above tanks.

So until 3.3 comes out and you see me beating you in dps you need to step it up cause I should be just above the tank for dps right now.

I ain't namin names but I was 6th in damage done and 10th on dps tonight. That means that there were a bunch of people that need to step it up.

Like Ghostcrawler (aka Greg Street) said "Someone's gotta be last" and it should have been me.

there are a few encounters in ulduar where shadow is fairly strong, namely anything with adds to AE, or high health multi target fights

i am still right at the top of the meter on Yogg, and when not fucking off on Razorscale, also have been doing fairly well on Anub

but anything single target, we are just really outclassed right now as shadow priests

From what I've discerned from the posts on www.shadowpriest.com www.elitistjerks.com and the wow forums even our AoE which we can use to pad the dps is just middle of the pack. I cringed yesterday when my mage with a gear score of like 300 points below my priest outdpsed Crit on the same fights by over 2k overal.

Like Ghostcrawler said....someone has to be last.
